Dehumidifier Recall Following 450 Fires and $19 Million in Property Damage; Brand Names Include Frig
A recall notice has been issued for more than 2 million dehumidifiers sold at many stores throughout the Pittsburgh area and online.
The products are being rounded up because they can overheat and catch fire, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall includes units made under the brand names Danby, De'Longhi, Fedders, Fellini, Frigidaire, GE, Gree, Kenmore, Norpole, Premiere, Seabreeze, SoleusAir and SuperClima.
The products were sold at places like HH Gregg, Home Depot, Kmart, Lowe's, Sam's Club, Sears, Walmart and other stores nationwide, including online outlets like Amazon and eBay.
